What a week…

Times are rough for the man in my life right now. And to put the cherry on top of the ice cream…someone decided to smash his car window in the middle of the night. The neighbor was kind enough to stop by and let him know. Times like these are when I just let him know that I’m there for him and soon enough things will look better. It’s weird to me that one bad day, turns into one bad week. Negative things like to group together to try and hit you the hardest they can. Truly stay positive during tough times- it will make a difference.

While on the Job Hunt…

Monterey Bay isn’t the largest place on earth, but it is my favorite. That’s why I decided to come back home to look for a job and spend time with my family. After 4.5 years of college and barely seeing my family, it truly took a toll on me. I’m very happy to be home. I can’t complain. I do have the coolest mom and brother in the world! So now for the job hunt. As everyone says things will always get worse before they get better, so I expected my job hunt to be more challenging than usual. However, you always have to keep in mind that you need to stay positive during tough times. No one wants to hire a negative person. I’m optimistic that soon enough I will find an awesome job! I’m very grateful for my family to adopt me back at home and help support me until I make my own money.

A bit of advice since Suze Orman has been popping up everywhere on TV these days, seriously don’t spend money on things you don’t need to survive and save as much as you can! My goal is to save enough to support myself without a job for at least 6 months. So when the time comes to move out on my own, within the next one or two years, I can be prepared for any emergencies. And I have to mention paying off my loans. Sigh. Who decided public universities are greedy money makers? Who on earth thinks it is fair that I paid over $300 on books my last semester and only received $70 back! That is beyond ridiculous! On top of that, most college graduates like myself become slaves to my $20 thousand I own in loans…! Back in the day universities were free…why did it have to change? So I need a job very soon because I will have to start  paying off my loans in July! Good Luck to me. Geez.

But in the mean time while waiting this job hunting game, I’m keeping myself busy. I’ve found myself experimenting with cooking and making a lovely surprise dinner last night for my family! Compliments of Rachel Ray! đŸ™‚ I cooked the Nutty Broken Spagetti-Sotto and mixed in some shredded pieces of chicken. I love how she calls it a fancy fake-out because it’s fancy yet easy to make! So divine! I made the table with our cute dishes, lite candles, made a fire in our fireplace, dimmed the lights and placed a bouquet of beautiful colorful daisys and lilies on the table. Poured glasses of wine and made it a great family dinner! Good times! Cheers!

Next mission: Visit Kugtar Mixed Martial Arts Studio with my brother! We are going to take classes and kick some ass! hehe
