Metro Station Concert.

Wow! Sunday night was pure awesomeness! At the Senator Theatre in Chico, CA there was a party going on! I got to see Metro Station, The White Tie Affair, Cash Cash and Tyga LIVE! They all put on a REALLY good show! Watching Trace’s energy on stage from Metro Station was crazy! He was running around, rockin out, jumpin off platforms and was lookin sexy hott rockstar status. And I can’t forget to mention Chris Wallace from The White Tie Affair, that boy is sexy when he sings. Sorry I sound like a little girl babbling, but damn I had a good time actin like a lil star-struck teenager girl! ❤

Jehovah’s Witnesses.

From back when I can remember, Jehovah’s Witnesses were people that came door to door making everyone in the neighborhood annoyed. But this semester, I was really questioning religion and my belief in God and so I actually didn’t pretend I wasn’t home when an elder man made his way to my apartment.  I opened the door and had a nice conversation that left me in a good mood. Since then, I’ve welcomed his visits and we usually stand in my door way talking for about ten minutes. Since then he’s come to visit me four times this semester and gave me a small book called “What does the bible really teach?” Honestly, I’ve only taken a glimpse at the book. Sure I’ll read it someday. The idea of religion is very intimidating, especially with the thoughts of “God is waiting for the “right” time to end all suffering.” I think that’s why I enjoy Buddhism because the only thing I have to rely on is me and there is no mysteriousness in that.

Either way, I’ve enjoyed his visits and just to have someone to talk to about religion. I think it’s nice meeting new people with different views. It truly opens your eyes to how diverse our world is and that everyone has the right to believe whatever they want. I think in the end people just want someone to know that they are listening. He was very appreciative to have me take time out to listen to him.  Just giving a little of your time and open-mindedness goes a long way.

Wow…

Ha! Only two days after I wrote about gas being so cheap now…it’s down to $1.97!!! I’m officially satisfied! 🙂

Transportation.

Waiting for the bus. Hmm. Doesn’t sound all glamorous and actually it is quite annoying. Yet, I can’t and shouldn’t complain. The public transit is free to Chico State students. It beats walking 45 minutes from my apartment to campus. (I’ve walked it a couple of times.) Despite that I still don’t want to waste my gas on driving to school, with also the hassle of finding a spot and paying that stupid parking meter, I can’t believe gas is $2.05 right now. I havn’t seen that in a couple of years! Just the idea that I use to pay almost $5 a gallon makes me feel weak. Now I can fill up my tank for less than $20! That is such a proud feeling. I hated paying over $40 – for my little Nissan NX 2000. That’s crazy talk. So apparently, something is making the gas prices go down. Hopefully it isn’t that oil is almost gone from the world. I hope that the smart people in the world will hurry to make our world more sustainable. I don’t want to end up living in a world like the Matrix where the real world was dark, dangerous and dirty. Let’s just hope that good things come with Obama! 🙂
